Unless otherwise noted, the "Before" pictures were taken with most clients wearing conventional makeup. The "After" photos were taken immediately after the procedure. The final color will appear more natural after healing is complete. This change is due to the sloughing (peeling away) of the outer layer of skin (epidermis) during the healing process. Only color that is in the lower layer of skin (dermis) will remain. The "new" epidermis will contain no pigment and will provide a softening effect to the color below.
